Remembering the victims in Charleston

Charleston

Let us remember the victims and their families in this time of horrible violence. I’m grateful the shooter has been caught, but I’m saddened by how normal domestic terrorism has become in our lives. We as a country need to protect our own, of all races, of all walks of life, instead of engaging in divisive rhetoric and hateful stereotypes. The shooter, this young white man, is America’s son. And these men and women who died in a church, they were America’s sons and daughters.

We make us who we are. We are responsible for hate in our community, and we are responsible for love.
