51,779 words written for Fire of Norea: From Ashes in the month of November. Even though I was within 500 words of completing my goal last Wednesday, I wanted to complete the scene I was working on. I relaxed, enjoyed the holiday with my wife and son, and then spent some time the last two days jumping to 50,250 words yesterday and then validating my official count today.
Thanks to NaNoWriMo, I’m in a groove. I have so much more writing to do and I’m excited about it! Thanks goes out to all who make this project a reality year after year and to everyone who supports me through this grueling process.
Writing fiction is the closest to real magic that our lives allow. I must embrace it.
This blog contains excerpts and commentary from the developing the novel, beginning with “excerpt 1”: Fire of Norea: From Ashes, first excerpt. A new blog will be published periodically, up until publication. Please leave feedback, this is a work in progress! Thank you for your interest.
